In this role, you’ll join the Regional Financial Lines team in Global Corporate and Specialty (GCS) in Scotland. The successful individual will join a team of underwriters charged with the profitable growth of our Directors and Officers Liability, Commercial Crime, Professional Indemnity, Cyber, Tech and Pension Trustees Liability books of business in this region. Supported by the Financial Lines Team and Product Leads; within this role, you will be responsible for developing our new business book in line with our strategy and underwriting a renewal allocation. You will liaise with our distribution team and key collaborators from our broker panel across Scotland, along with leading technical conversations with our clients, so strong communication skills and time management will be important to this role. Skills and experience we’re looking for:
An established technical knowledge of Directors and Officers Liability insurance, Commercial Crime & Pension Trustees Liability is preferred. A working knowledge of Professional Indemnity and Cyber is advantageous. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to drive business growth. Solutions orientated to secure and onboard books of SME and Mid-Market business and in structuring complex insurance programs. Be interested in business and the macro-economic environment. Starting salary Competitive (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications). Bonus opportunity – 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
