£30,000 - £35,000 Hours:

35.58 hours per week, regular business hours Monday to Friday 08:50 to 17:00 (until 15:30 Fridays). There is the expectation that this role will work some evenings and weekends as appropriate. Role Summary:

Working within the Development Team, you will be ensuring the creation of more opportunities in the region for our badminton community, working with partners to build and develop relationships to achieve our strategy and finding innovative ways to get people playing and loving our sport from grassroots and schools activity, through to supporting the development of the pathway that leads towards Olympic and Paralympic level. The Development Team is part of a wider Sport Directorate consisting of the Major Events, Domestic Competition, Coaching, Pathway and Places Teams and you will play a key role in connecting the activity of these teams with the local badminton community. Responsibilities:

Drive participation levels through effective support, advice and guidance to key partners. Identify, build and maintain excellent relationships with key badminton partners and stakeholders such as clubs, coaches and county badminton associations to deliver the Badminton England strategy. Develop excellent relationships with wider partners and stakeholders in the Region to support badminton to grow and thrive and enable the delivery of the Badminton England strategy. Promote and where relevant support the delivery of Badminton England services and products in the Region to include development programmes, workforce education and relevant competitions. Work collaboratively within the Development Team to improve and develop participation programmes. Work with teams across Badminton England to feedback on products and services and ensure they meet the needs of local badminton communities. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of participants and their needs and use this insight to support partners in ensuring effective delivery. Identify and secure external funding and investment into badminton to support local delivery. Promote inclusion within badminton and ensure it is a key consideration in the work of partners. Develop and implement plans for local focus areas, bringing together local partners to maximise impact. Promote Badminton England membership, ensuring this grows in the Region through direct communication with clubs and badminton organisations and involvement in national campaigns. Who We Are Looking For:

You will be able to develop an excellent understanding of your region to inform delivery in your area. You will identify partners that can support the delivery of Badminton England strategy and develop and manage ongoing relationships with those partners that maximises delivery of strategic objectives. You will have: The ability to identify, lead and influence partners and stakeholders to deliver strategic goals and agreed objectives. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive internal and external relationships at all levels with both volunteers and professionals. Knowledge/understanding of the sporting landscape. A track record of achievement in delivering objectives. The ability to attract funding directly and support others to do so. A track record of utilising products and services to meet participant/customer need. The ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-moving environment and use initiative to seize opportunities. The ability to create and implement plans. The ability to prioritise and make decisions. Excellent change/project management skills. The ability to take responsibility and make decisions.
