We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multiskilled Tradesperson, with extensive joinery and plumbing experience, who will be responsible for undertaking investment projects across our portfolio of care homes primarily in the Rochdale and Oldham areas, with occasional travel further afield in the wider Manchester and northwest area. Please note to be successful in the position, you must be flexible to provide an on-call emergency support service out of hours when required. Salary and Hours Depending on experience Full time - Monday to Fridays Responsibilities - Carry out day to day refurbishment projects to maintain high standards in our care homes, including full bathroom and kitchen renovations day to day repairs - Must be able to install hygienic Sani clad - Liaison with contractors and suppliers to service the needs of the care home. - Work closely with the Home Managers and nominated colleagues to make sure that our residents live in a place that is safe and well maintained at all times. - Ensure all bedrooms rooms are always refreshed and in a ready to let condition. - Undertake audits and ensure servicing is carried out on all equipment and accurate records are maintained. - Assist with reactive day to day work requests as required Who we are looking for - A multiskilled tradesperson with experience in a wide range of property maintenance, preferably in a care setting. - Proven ability to undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks and responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of all buildings, external grounds, and equipment. -Someone who can demonstrate excellent knowledge of Health and Safety - Organised self-motivated person who can work effectively on own initiative as well as part of a team. - Ability to work under pressure and have a positive can-do attitude. - Excellent communication skills and friendly attitude. - Well-presented and punctual with a clean and tidy working practice. - IT literate with ability to use an online audit system and organise work via our digital maintenance app. - GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) would be desirable. - Driving licence essential.
