The Regional Planning Manager will proactively lead and manage the Planning Team, delivering a transport plan that effectively deploys the company’s transport assets. This plan should deliver compliance with relevant legislation, company procedures, meet customer requirements, and generate profit for the business. Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 45-hour week. Key Duties of a Regional Planning Manager: Deliver a programme of continuous improvement in the transport plan by regularly reviewing internal and external KPI data and using trend analysis and loss elimination data. Develop mid-term and seasonal scenarios/resource plans. Monitor daily performance data. Ensure organisation capability is maintained for today and into the future. Maintain Customer Service levels by monitoring key customers daily and weekly, making the necessary interventions that deliver key KPIs. Liaise with Customer Service contacts, internal and external, to keep abreast of and manage issues. Provide key data to the Business Development function that facilitates growth/business acquisition. Provide leadership guidance and management to the planning teams by ensuring work processes that cover the regional needs of the planning teams are in place and being adhered to. Maintain overall capability through planning/recruitment and onboarding. Deliver improved organisation capability through the appraisal system and 1-1 processes. Maintain control over Discipline and Grievances. Maintain control of staffing costs with a close focus on manning levels and overtime. Minimum Requirements: Previous experience within transport planning. Previous experience leading, motivating, and managing a team. CPC National Qualification. Nationally recognised Health & Safety accreditation. Expert in GTS and Microlise applications. Qualification in Key Compliance areas WTD & EU Drivers Hours. IT Literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Proven track record of delivering and improving key KPIs.
