Job Description

Main objectives

In this role you will be responsible to manage daily purchasing activities for multi-categories on a strategic level. This function provides guidance and direction to all internal stakeholders and liaison with business owners and supplier representatives mainly for all German sites (but not limited to). Your goal is to enable the business to procure third party goods and services in a cost effective, professional manner while mitigating the financial and commercial risk for KLA. This is a Hybrid working model (office/remote) with 50% travel.

Responsibilities

Sourcing & processes

To be the Indirect Procurement Guidelines and Process Owner for Business within your responsible region

To lead/support, where required, strategic sourcing activities

To Lead/facilitate RFX, supplier selection and negotiation process

Evaluate, negotiate, and finalize contracts with suppliers

Work closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts and terms are compliant

Supplier Management

Lead and develop supplier relationships and integrate supplier expertise as appropriate to meet business strategy

Continually scouting for additional suppliers for ‘bottleneck’ segments or where dual sourcing is needed.

Monitor supplier performance, set KPI’s and act where under performing

Conduct regular XBR’s for strategic or key suppliers across region

Costs, TCO & savings

Developing sound, cost-effective strategies for your responsible region

Evaluating spending while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries

Execute saving activities

Conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement

Other

Handle critical issues and support the business navigate through them

Continuously extend understanding of current and potential suppliers

Interact with Accounts Payable for payment or other issues relating to vendors

Stay up to date of local laws and compliance

Support Contract Manager

Qualification & skills

Extensive proven experience in multi-category Procurement

Experience of working within a multi-functional and multi-national environment

Ability to influence stakeholders

Prioritizes work to provide the most efficient service possible.

Know-how to take ownership on whole procurement process from A-Z

German at mother tongue level, high command of the English language (must) + additional European language (nice to have)

Experience with SAP is an advantage
