Who we are looking for: Responsible for the delivery of the sales and profitable budget within the identified region for Atkore UK (Unistrut, Marco & Flexicon), to drive for results and meet the target for this region. This role is field based 5 days per week working with an initial customer target list to drive sales for the company’s product range, working closely with the Business Development Manager and the internal sales team to convert opportunities. What you’ll do: Fully understand the customer base in your region, specifically: Specification OEM’s, Distribution, Consultants, Contractors and EWS Accounts, and the influencers that operate within these sectors. Understand the need to Identify different sales strategies for different product groups and customers. Work within the company’s defined pricing policy and discount structure. Have existing or developed relationships with key personnel within your customer bae at the right level. Fully utilise and contribute to the market intelligence within the business in order to open up business opportunities. Understand at all times where you are/need to be to achieve Sales and targets. Understand the need to continually increase business knowledge, maintaining current product knowledge and learn new skills through a combination of training and personal development. Work in an integrated manner with key colleagues, specifically the UK Sales Team internal and external, Marketing Management and Commercial Management. Identify client concerns and where possible resolve or collaborate with the Customer Service and Sales team. Contribute to the ongoing development of the Sales Strategy, specifically new products, new market opportunities and marketing campaigns. Ensure that Atkore UK locally owns the Specification Process from initial specification to order placement by Distributor (where applicable). Provide on a perpetual basis, a plan of calls/appointments to your manager electronically and advise if any changes are necessary during the week, keeping the Manager informed at all times. Provide, on a monthly basis, a report of activity including successes, opportunities, project pipeline and market requirements to achieve the company’s goals. Understand and work to the Atkore core values at all times. Follow Company Procedure regarding all administrative aspects of the role. Take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions throughout the course of their business activities, acting in accordance with the Company Safety Policy and setting a personal example at all times. Undertake any other reasonable duty as requested by your manager. What you bring: Education/Qualification/Training English & Math’s Computer literate – intermediate level or above in Word, PowerPoint and Excel Driving Licence Experience/Knowledge Customer relationship management Experience of proactive account management Knowledge of electrical wholesale industry & M&E Distributors Ability to instill and maintain proactive customer contact Skills/Abilities Ability to work on own initiative and take ownership of own workload with good time management skills.
