Permanent, Full-time Are you an experienced Home Manager or Deputy Manager with a background in Residential Child Care looking to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a dedicated, passionate, and enthusiastic individual to join our management team at our 3-bed residential home in Waltham Abbey, Essex. The home will accommodate children aged 11-18 experiencing Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. What We Offer: Competitive salary and up to £7,000 a year in bonuses Access to funded QCF Leadership & Management Diploma courses Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Supportive and hands-on Senior Management Team In-house clinical support for positive mental health and wellbeing Blue Light Membership Successful Candidates Will Need: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior/team leader position within a residential childcare setting QCF Level 5 Leadership and Management Diploma or actively working towards completing it Minimum Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young People’s Workforce) or equivalent Experience leading and supervising a team within a residential child care setting Full UK Manual Driving License Purpose of the Role: Responsible for shaping and delivering the residential home’s Statement of Purpose Provide high-quality care services that support the needs of the residents Advocate for the well-being of the children and provide strong leadership to staff Aspire to manage the children’s home to an outstanding grade with Ofsted Key Responsibilities: Manage an Ofsted Registered Residential Home in accordance with relevant legislation and policies Promote a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that supports the young person’s independence and life skills Support staff in achieving the highest standards of care for young people Oversee casework and administrative functions, evaluating performance Assist in recruitment processes, including interviewing and onboarding new staff Contribute to staff training and development to meet the needs of the young people Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams and commissioning authorities to ensure care needs are met Promote appropriate and therapeutic relationships with young people and families Manage financial and administrative procedures and work within budget Ensure all clinical practices and medication processes are in line with legislation Promote safeguarding and provide good quality care Additional Duties: Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota and conduct unannounced visits Maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring repair/maintenance issues are addressed promptly Ensure safe working practices in accordance with Health and Safety regulations Requirements: QCF Level 5 (or equivalent) preferred 2 years’ senior/team leader experience in residential child care Additional Benefits: Company pension Discounted or free food On-site parking Application Question(s): Do you hold a minimum Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young People’s Workforce) or equivalent?
