Are you an experienced leader with a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people? We’re looking for a Registered Manager to take the lead in a solo placement children’s home in Derby, where you’ll provide critical support and guidance to create a nurturing, safe, and stable environment for a young person in care. This is your chance to work with a dedicated team in a highly rewarding role that empowers you to create meaningful, lasting change.

About the Role

As the Registered Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of the home, overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and compliance. • Team Leadership: Building, mentoring, and inspiring a team of care staff who are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care.
  • Safeguarding and Compliance: Acting as the safeguarding lead and maintaining compliance with all Children’s Homes Regulations to uphold a safe, legally compliant environment.
  • Quality Standards: Continuously setting, monitoring, and refining care standards to ensure the best possible support for the young person.
  • Resource and Financial Management: Ensuring the home is well-managed, safe, and within budget, while creating a positive living environment.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Experience: At least five years of residential experience within children’s homes, including two years in a management role. Experience with complex needs and an understanding of the Ofsted framework is ideal.
  • Skills and Attributes: Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to children’s welfare. We’re looking for someone resilient, compassionate, and ready to bring a positive vision to life.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, plus an annual performance bonus of £4,500.
  • Career Development: Access to ongoing training and career progression opportunities to support your professional growth.
  • Supportive Work Environment: Join a dedicated, collaborative team that shares your commitment to helping young people thrive.
  • Additional Benefits: Including pension and access to support from a skilled Senior Management Team.
