to oversee the daily operations of Rivet Care in Northern Ireland. You will drive the nursing team’s success while aligning with our core values and policies. Key Responsibilities Operational Management:
Support directors in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery. Staff Supervision and Leadership:
Provide effective leadership to nursing and care staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and facilitating professional growth. Appraisals and Supervision:
Conduct biannual supervision and annual appraisals for full-time nursing staff, including Leadcare’s core team, by NMC and RQIA standards. Compliance and Regulation:
Ensure all operations comply with RQIA standards and company policies. Regularly review and update care procedures, policies, and documentation to maintain excellence. Quality Assurance:
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, conduct audits, address client feedback, and resolve concerns promptly. Communication and Collaboration:
Promote effective communication among clients, healthcare professionals, and staff to ensure seamless care delivery. Recruitment and Training:
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, interviews, and training to build a skilled, knowledgeable team. Essential Qualifications and Skills Experience:
Registered Nurse/Charge Nurse on the NMC register. A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a management role. Knowledge:
Strong understanding of RQIA standards and regulatory requirements. Experience managing staff and handling complaints. Familiarity with relevant policies and procedures. Leadership:
Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team of care professionals. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office and care management systems. Organizational Skills:
Exceptional time management and prioritization abilities. Desirable Qualifications and Skills Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care + Valid NMC Registration (or willingness to pursue). Hybrid Remote Duties: Supervise and manage the daily operations of the care home or assisted living facility. Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to the needs of each resident. Ensure that all medication administration is conducted safely and in accordance with established protocols. Lead and support a team of caregivers, providing guidance and training as necessary. Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular assessments of resident needs to ensure appropriate care is provided. Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders. Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and compassion within the care environment. Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory role within home care or a similar setting is essential. Strong understanding of care planning processes and medication administration protocols. Experience in dementia care is highly desirable. Background in managing teams within senior care settings such as care homes or assisted living facilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff members. A nursing qualification or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
