We are seeking a motivated and experienced Residential House Manager to join a well-respected and innovative children's residential provider in Midlothian. As a key leader, you will ensure the smooth running of the home, foster a nurturing environment, and empower young people to develop life skills, build confidence, and achieve their potential. Benefits: £37,000- £47,000 - Plus Discretionary Annual Bonus Health and Well-Being Programme Employee Mentor Programme Private medical and dental insurance Company Pensions Enhanced Annual leave Responsibilities: As a Registered House Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the residential care home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and support for the children and young people in your care. Leading by example, you will foster a culture of responsibility, collaboration, and excellence within your team. Your role will involve ensuring the safety and wellbeing of both staff and residents, meticulously planning and managing house budgets, and overseeing the effective delivery of care services. You will also plan, monitor, and supervise ongoing staff training and development, ensuring that your team is equipped with the skills and knowledge to provide exceptional support. Through your leadership, you will create a positive, nurturing environment where both staff and young people can thrive. Hours will be Monday to Friday with some flexibility around evening and weekends to cover the needs of the service on occasion. To be considered for the Registered Manager's role, ideally you will have: 2-5 years experience of managing a children's residential setting. SVQ Level 4 - Children and Young People or qualified (meet SSSC requirements). Demonstrated experience in supervising and managing staff within a children's residential care setting, with a strong track record of fostering a supportive and effective team environment.
