Registered Children's Home Manager

to join the team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in establishing and shaping the home, making a real impact on the lives of young people aged 8-18 years. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily management of the home in line with Children's Home Regulations and Ofsted standards. Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, taking responsibility for child protection issues. Lead and develop a team, fostering high standards of care and compliance. Collaborate with external agencies to ensure tailored plans and support for young people. Manage budgets and ensure financial and operational efficiency. Ensure accurate and thorough record-keeping and reporting. Maintain a safe, positive environment, promoting health, safety, and well-being. Qualifications: QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or working towards). QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent). Experience: Minimum 3 years in residential care and 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Knowledge of Children's Act, Care Standards Act, and safeguarding practices. Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities. Budget management and auditing experience. Emotional resilience and ability to handle challenging situations. Enhanced DBS check and evidence-based knowledge of Regulation 44 and 45 reporting. Full UK driving licence. Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day shifts Flexibility to participate in the on-call rota.
