Job Summary: As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the Children’s Residential Home. Your role will involve implementing policies, procedures, and practices to ensure the children’s physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a cohesive team that is committed to providing high-quality care for the children. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the residential home, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Create and implement effective safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of the children. Develop individual care plans for each child, based on their needs and aspirations. Monitor and review the progress and development of the children, and make adjustments to care plans as needed. Provide leadership and support to staff, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to perform their roles effectively. Develop effective partnerships with families, social workers, and other agencies involved in the care of the children. Manage the allocation of resources and budgets, ensuring efficient and effective use of funds. Keep accurate and up-to-date records, and produce reports and statistics as required. Promote a positive and inclusive working environment that values diversity and encourages teamwork and mutual respect. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s residential home setting. NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Strong knowledge of current legislation and regulations surrounding children’s residential care. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with other professionals. Passionate about providing high-quality care for vulnerable children. Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection issues. Ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions in challenging situations.
