Ability to manage a Residential Home and ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies and the Statement of Purpose for the home. To produce a development plan for the service that ensures the delivery of high quality, research informed practice. To support staff to achieve the highest standards of care for the children. To assist and supervise in the continual assessment of the needs of the children and young people and to identify and prepare specific placement plans to ensure the most appropriate service provision. To coordinate and monitor casework and administrative functions of the home and evaluate standards of performance. To contribute to a comprehensive staff training and development programme to enable the service to have available all necessary skills and levels of expertise to meet the needs of the children. All candidates will be subject to Safer Recruitment and DBS checks. Essential Skills / Experience: Registered Manager
Must have a NVQ level 5 in leadership and management (or equivalent) or willing to work towards. Recent experience working as a Registered Manager in a Children's Home for at least 2 years. Thorough understanding of the regulations and legislations that set the standards within a children's home. Ability to showcase leadership and management skills. Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification). Full UK Driving Licence.
