We're seeking a dynamic and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our children's residential care home in Formby. In this pivotal role, you'll create a nurturing, supportive environment where children and young people can thrive, develop, and achieve their potential. What You'll Be Doing: As the Registered Manager, you'll take the lead in ensuring our home is a safe, welcoming space for every child in our care. Reporting to the Children's Service Lead, your responsibilities will include: Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage a dedicated team of carers, providing direction, guidance, and support. Drive performance by nurturing a positive environment that maximizes staff potential. Ensure the home operates in full compliance with relevant policies and legislation. Care Delivery: Provide high-quality, therapeutic care and advocacy for children and young people. Ensure the staff team has the skills and resources needed to deliver exceptional care. Act as a role model for others in delivering child-centered care. Compliance & Governance: Lead the home through regulatory inspections, maintaining high standards in line with Ofsted requirements. Oversee robust care practices, safeguarding procedures, and medication management. Ensure thorough and accurate record-keeping to maintain regulatory compliance. Collaboration & Partnerships: Build strong working relationships with local authorities, parents, and other key stakeholders. Participate actively in leadership and operational management meetings to contribute to the overall direction of the service. Safeguarding & Health & Safety: Serve as the designated safeguarding lead, ensuring the wellbeing of every child. Ensure health and safety guidelines are met, and that the home is a secure, well-maintained environment. Who We're Looking For: Qualifications & Experience: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (essential). Extensive experience in children's residential care, including management and supervision (essential). Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of child development, Children's Homes Regulations (2015), and therapeutic approaches. Proven leadership abilities and the capacity to manage challenging behaviours positively. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in IT, with experience in report writing.
