Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Registered Manager within the Fostering Service to work full time for Ethelbert Children Services based in Ramsgate.

The salary for this permanent Registered Manager job is up to £60,000 per annum.

Main duties: Ensure services are delivered in line with The Fostering Services, National Minimum Standards 2011 and legal requirements of the Fostering Services Regulations 2011 and The Children Act 1989 & 2004. Ensure that all staff comply with the Fostering Agency’s Statement of Purpose, team expectations, policies and procedures. All staff are expected to comply with Equal Opportunities policy and procedures. To be responsible for the Agency making safe and robust decision making, prompt and appropriate response to safeguarding, referrals, assessments and allocation of work in accordance with statutory requirements. To take strategic and operational leadership in recruiting, training and supervising foster carers in line with regulations and good practice guidance to provide the best standards of care for looked after children and young people. To develop a fostering recruitment strategy and delivery plan to meet the needs of children, ensuring all children, where appropriate, are offered high quality foster placements. To develop communication and support mechanisms that develop high quality working relationships with foster carers and ensuring that foster carers' views and feedback inform service development. Promote the work of the agency with local authorities, chairing meetings as necessary. To be responsible for actively and regularly monitoring outcomes for children and the quality of the care provided. Identify strengths and areas for improvement and implement clear development plans that improve the experiences of children. Ensure team meetings are held regularly, stimulating ideas and allowing good practice to thrive. Ensure foster carers receive effective training, support and supervision allowing them to provide high quality and stable care for children. Ensure the wellbeing of staff, carers and children by actively promoting and complying with health and safety regulations, policies and procedures. To be available from time to time for work outside normal office hours as required, to meet the needs of the Department and role responsibilities. Requirements of this Registered Manager role: A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent. Understanding of relevant legislation. Registered or eligible for registration.
