The role of Registered Manager requires an individual who is passionate about delivering therapeutic and restorative care for children aged 5-17. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to change children’s lives and create a stable, secure environment for vulnerable young people. Applicants should have at least two years' experience in residential childcare and at least one year’s experience supervising and managing staff. The candidate must possess or be willing to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care. Strong leadership, decision-making skills, and an excellent understanding of relevant legislation and regulations are essential. This organisation specialises in therapeutic residential childcare, offering support for children who have suffered abuse and neglect. It has grown organically since 2004 and now operates 18 homes and 3 SEMH schools. The care provided is tailored to the needs of the children, focusing on addressing attachment difficulties and developmental delays in a nurturing environment. The Registered Manager will work as part of a management team of nine, overseeing two homes and leading a team of up to 12 staff members. The role involves providing leadership, motivation, and support to ensure that high-quality care is consistently delivered. Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Children and Young People's Workforce Minimum 2 years' experience in residential childcare within the last 5 years Minimum 1 year of supervisory/management experience Willingness to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care (if not already obtained) Excellent communication and organisational skills Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work What you’ll be doing…

As a Registered Manager, the role involves overseeing the daily operation of two homes, ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained. Responsibilities include leading and developing a team of staff, identifying training needs, and ensuring that children receive the therapeutic support they require. The role will involve supervising, coaching, and conducting appraisals for staff, and creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive. What will be offered:
