is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a valued client for the position of

Registered Manager

to oversee the establishment of a

brand-new, 3-bedded children’s home

in Sheffield. This home will support young people aged 8-18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and mental health needs. The Registered Manager of a children's home is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the home in compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015. The role involves ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children and young people in a supportive and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and direction to the staff team, promoting a positive and inclusive culture. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including Ofsted standards and safeguarding protocols. Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the physical, emotional, and educational needs of children. Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of staff. Manage budgets and resources efficiently while ensuring high-quality service delivery. Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring that safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to. Build and maintain relationships with external agencies, families, and stakeholders. Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections, ensuring the home meets or exceeds quality standards. Qualifications and Experience Required: NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent). Significant experience in residential childcare or a similar setting. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding, and Ofsted standards. Leadership and team management skills with a focus on developing staff. This role requires a compassionate and resilient individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
