Our services focus on individuals with high severity needs, including specialist education schools and colleges, residential care homes, and therapeutic fostering services. We are looking for a Registered Manager to work in an Ofsted registered children’s home at Cambian Whinfell School in Kendal, Cumbria. Whinfell School provides both home and school for students aged 11-19 with Asperger’s Syndrome (high functioning Autism) and Complex Needs, helping them gain valuable life skills and confidence. The successful candidate will: Provide strong leadership to a team of assistant managers and support workers. Ensure a safe and happy home environment for children and young people. Demonstrate a highly developed awareness of safeguarding and the challenges associated with complex difficulties. Apply principles of care management and maintain high organizational standards. Your excellent people skills will: Provide inspirational leadership to the staff team. Offer compassionate support to our children, young people, and staff. Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. Develop strong working relationships with professionals for the best outcomes for children. Provide support to families. Essential Requirements: A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role and a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management (Children).
