Provide the highest standards of care by assessing residents’ needs and developing tailored care plans. Promote independence and personal choice while ensuring physical, social, and psychological needs are met. Oversee medicine management, ensuring safe and compliant administration. Maintain the service’s reputation by liaising professionally with visitors and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and best practice guidelines by proactively identifying and resolving risks. Lead, mentor, and support your team in line with NMC standards. This 24-bed specialist facility supports adults with long-term functional mental health needs and complex physical requirements. Nestled in the beautiful South Wales Valley in Blaina, Abertillery, the service is just 20 minutes from Abergavenny and an hour from Cardiff. What We’re Looking For
The ability to lead a team and propose solutions to challenges. Effective communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships. IT literacy and familiarity with care-related systems. Respect for the values, views, and needs of others. The ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively. Must have experience working with Mental Health Experience delivering nursing care, ideally within the elderly care sector. Experience with clinical governance and quality programs is desirable.
