Are you looking to enhance your cardiology knowledge and skills? We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to deliver an excellent standard of care to our cardiology patients. The Coronary Care Unit is a busy, dynamic ten-bedded unit that works very closely with our Cardiac Pacing Suite. It is an exciting opportunity for nurses to gain experience with such an interesting specialty. You will also gain experience working in a busy Cardiac Pacing Suite, caring for patients having a pacemaker/ICD/cardioversions and TOE's both elective and inpatients. You will be part of an extremely supportive and well-motivated team.

You will be required to work days, nights, and weekends.

Main duties of the job Newly qualified nurses will also complete a structured preceptorship program. You will be allocated a preceptor to provide support with training and development. Experienced staff will also be given training and development tailored to meet your individual needs and offered a buddy for support. We can offer you a true commitment to staff training and development and the opportunity to be part of developing or enhancing specialist link roles. Many of our former staff have fulfilled their career progression goals first identified on C1 and are working throughout the Trust and beyond as the nurse leaders of today and tomorrow.

Management of patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions such as post Myocardial Infarction, Arrhythmias, Pacemakers, pre/post Angiogram and Telemetry Monitoring.

Job description Job responsibilities Coronary Care is a 10-bedded mixed-sex ward, incorporating all telemetry beds. It is a busy, vibrant environment and we are looking for conscientious, motivated, committed, positive nurses to join our fabulous team. We are passionate about Cardiology; experience is desired but not essential as full training will be given. Join us here and you will have the opportunity to develop or refresh skills in nursing acute and chronic cardiac conditions in an exciting and advancing specialty. Although we specialize in cardiology, our patients can also have numerous other medical conditions so you will have the opportunity to manage patients with multiple co-morbidities.

We work together with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care at a local level and have strong links with the northwest cardiac tertiary centres. As a team, we are committed to dealing with current and emerging cardiology and general issues in a proactive manner which provides a safe, professional, and enriching environment for all.

When working clinically we expect you to perform with passion and drive, provide clinically excellent care, and be supportive to patients, relatives, and other MDT members. As a registered nurse, you will be expected to promote and lead the delivery of an excellent standard of patient-centred care in a supported environment.
