Responsible for managing a group of staff in the absence of the senior nurse.

Main duties of the job Eryri Community Hospital is a great place to work and feel part of a close community hospital team. The team enjoys a close working relationship and support from the hospital league of friends. A range of outpatient services also take place within the hospital site. Padarn ward is a 20 bedded ward. Both wards in Eryri are supported by a Care of the Elderly medical team and have additional support from therapies to develop agreed rehabilitation plans with patients, focusing on discharge to recover and assess. Patients admitted to Padarn ward are transferred either from acute hospital wards when medically fit or from the community to prevent the need for an acute hospital admission. Patients may require complex discharge planning, including the completion of long-term assessments. Working as part of the nursing team, you will have the opportunity to develop excellent skills in patient assessment as part of their recovery as well as a range of nursing interventions. You will also work closely with community teams as part of the discharge planning process.
