The Charters Towers Rehabilitation Unit (CRTU) is a residential facility that provides extended care, rehabilitation, and dual-disability treatment for people who have a long-term residual and complex mental health needs. The CTRU mental health team provides an integration program to prepare residents for community re-integration and ongoing, long-term 24-hour care. About your opportunity Multiple Permanent full-time or part-time positions, hours negotiable 2 x Casual positions available Registered nurses work within a multidisciplinary recovery framework, providing mental health nursing practice consistent with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the mental health service, to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care. This role is diverse and requires nursing staff to provide nursing care for consumers with mental health issues as well as support to manage chronic disease, wound management, and recovery from substance use disorders. What's on offer: Comprising salary range of:

$3171.90 to $4068.50 p.f. (full-time) $41.73 - $53.53 p.h (part-time) $51.33-$66.91 p.h. (casual)

Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Highly Desirable:

Credentialed status (or willingness to undertake and complete the requirements) with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses. Possession of or working towards a relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in mental health nursing would be well regarded. While not mandatory, eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the

Mental Health Act 2016

would be well regarded.

Shift Workers:

Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role:

Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis. Possession of class C drivers' licence. Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
