Are you looking for a challenge to gain knowledge and experience of the core areas of complex patient care and discharge on a new community hospital Discharge to Assess (D2A) Ward? As a Band 5 Registered Nurse, you will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of high-quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care, including: assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating holistic and individualized care. This will be in line with local, Trust-wide, and national policies, procedures, values, and behaviors.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Nurses who will deliver high-quality patient care and thrive on the opportunities this post offers. Community health care is changing and fast developing, and it is an exciting time to be a part of the Discharge Business Unit! The posts advertised will be for allocation on one of the 4 community wards, 2 at Sir Robert Peel, Tamworth, and 2 at Samuel Johnson Community Hospital, Lichfield.

An average of 1115 patients are seen in A&Es across our network every day - 3rd largest in the country. Our hospitals admit an average of 195 emergency patients daily. Last year we undertook almost 33,700 planned surgical operations in our 57 operating theatres. We are one of only 7 Trusts nationally with more than 50 operating theatres. We carry out more than 140 elective procedures each working day.
