Education and Qualifications Essential: NMC Registered Nurse Experience Desirable: Experience of teaching junior staff Experience of supporting/mentoring junior staff Experience of shift management in the absence of senior colleagues Experience of audit processes. Knowledge Essential: Understanding of nursing care delivery Desirable: Management of acute Cardiology patients Understanding of discharge planning Key Skills Essential: Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care Problem solving skills Desirable: IV medication administration Peripheral cannulation skills ECG recording and interpretation Other Essential: Awareness and respect for colleagues, patients and relatives' cultural, religious and emotional needs and beliefs Able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trust's Values and Behaviours Be prepared to work across sites as and when required Professional appearance & behaviour Good previous attendance record
