Are you a Registered Nurse with experience in surgical nursing? Would you like more time to care for your patients with an average patient ratio of 1-5? Would you like to develop your skills in a modern and supportive environment?

Due to the launch of new services and an increase in patient activity we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Inpatients Team. You will be a key member of our multi-disciplinary team and will manage a busy surgical list for the whole patient journey from admission to discharge.

This role is for 37.5 hours per week working 3 days per week between the hours of 07:00 – 20:30 Monday to Sunday.

This role is ideally suited to an NMC registered nurse with post-registration clinical experience who is passionate about delivering healthcare at its very best.

Role Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse, you will:

Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for your own actions, working within the NMC code of conduct.

Assess, plan and deliver care, based on individual patient needs.

Act as a role model, promoting a learning environment.

Maintain accurate records of patient care.

Respect and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.

Person Specification

Be a qualified Adult Nurse with current NMC PIN.

Have post-registration clinical experience.

Be confident in building relationships with the ability to easily engage with others including consultants, colleagues, and patients.

Have knowledge of clinical governance and its application.

Have good verbal and written communication skills.

Hold a Post Graduate course in the relevant specialty.

Have experience in Medicine, surgery, orthopaedic or cardiac nursing.

Have knowledge of BADS (British Association of Day Surgery).
