The successful applicant will work as part of a team of nurses providing pre and post-op care to patients undergoing elective surgical procedures. Ensure patient episode of care is delivered in a safe and timely manner. Implement Trust policies and protocols. Maximise the use of resources within your sphere of responsibility. Ensure that quality standards of care are implemented in line with the Care Group and Trust aims and objectives. Contribute in the development and maintenance of patient information systems. Collect and enter data onto the theatre computer system in an accurate and timely way. Communicate information to relevant disciplines. Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times in line with the Data Protection Act and your code of conduct. Ensure compliance with the Trust's risk management policies and procedures. Comply with national and local infection control policies and procedures and any other related infection prevention policies and procedures. Participate in the implementation and evaluation of new developments and be aware of service needs, quality and assurance programmes.
