The post holder is responsible for providing all aspects of patient care through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.. The post holder will assist and is expected to supervise junior staff and be able to teach qualified and unqualified staff. Staff are expected to provide care within the endoscopy department, including endoscopy pre-assessment, admission, procedure rooms, recovery and discharge. Staff will be expected to rotate through all areas as required. Main duties of the job

Registered Nurses Full Time Posts - permanent and fixed term Are you looking to broaden your experience into the field of endoscopy? We have expanded the breadth of our Endoscopic Services at DGT to include a 6 day service and out of hour's on-call service for upper GI bleeds. The investment in the JAG accredited department has resulted in the need for dynamic Endoscopy Nurses with a hunger to develop. Ideal candidates' will have previous experience of working in an Endoscopy setting but this is not essential. They will be motivated and hard working with the ability to take on responsibility when asked and work to Joint Advisory Group (JAG) standards. You will have the opportunity to develop your strategy skills by participating in service redesign and development. You will be fully supported in your continuous professional development using an endoscopy specific competency programme which will enable you to fulfil your role within the multi-disciplinary team. Education and Training

oRegistered Nurse educated to diploma / degree level oEvidence of CPD oENB 998 or equivalent teaching qualification Knowledge and Skills

oGood communication skills both written and verbal oIT Literate and able to use a range of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word and Excel oAble to prioritise and manage workload oAble to work under pressure oAble to work either as part of a team or on own. oAbility to adapt to change oAbility to play an active role in service development oTeaching skills oAbility to support junior staff within the team oCurrently working in relevant area Experience

oExperience of clinical governance and risk management Disclosure and Barring Service Check
