An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our nursing team within the Discharge Lounge Department based at Peterborough City Hospital. We are undergoing some major changes such as relocating the Discharge Lounge Department to accommodate trolley and chair patients.

Band 5 opportunities include:

Main duties of the job This is a busy department; it is a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will need to be a good communicator, be innovative and self-motivated. They should be committed to the provision of high standards of patient care. We welcome applicants with adult nursing registrations.

Be aware of the safeguarding agenda, ensuring protection and identification of vulnerable patients.

Person Specification Education and Qualifications

Current NMC registration

Evidence of professional development

Registered Adults Nurse

Registered Allied Health Professional

Degree in Nursing

ILS / PILS trained

Experience/ Skills/ Ability/ Knowledge

Excellent understanding of safeguarding

Able to relate anatomy and physiology to clinical practice

Able to function as part of a multi-professional team

Evidence of implementing innovation in practice

Experience of looking after the critically ill patient

£29,970 to £36,483 a year per annum pro rata
