Your role will include working within the multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality care for the patients who attend the Emergency Department. You will work in all areas of the department including Majors, Minors, Resus, Triage, and within the RAT area and the Children and Young People's Emergency Department.

An exciting opportunity has risen for a responsive, motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our Nursing Team within our newly expanded Emergency Department at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate and proactive individual who is looking for a new challenge and wants to be part of a developing team.

We are extremely proud of both our local and national reputation for delivering consistently high standards of clinical care, which we believe, in part, is due to the focus on the training and development that we offer to our staff. We offer an excellent development programme, and you will be supported and guided by our Sister Nursing Team and Clinical Educators. You will be able to learn and expand on existing skills including basic and advanced plastering, wound care, venepuncture and cannulation, triage, and the care of the critically ill patient.

You will need to be qualifying within the next 6 months, and ideally, you should have some experience within Urgent Emergency Care. To help you settle in, you will be offered a 4-6 week induction period.

Full and part time hours are available: 27 days annual leave for new starters, rising to 29 days after five years of service and 33 days after 10 years of service, plus 8 Bank Holidays (pro-rata for part time staff); NHS Pension Scheme; Flexible working opportunities; Increased hourly rates for unsociable hours e.g. night shifts, weekends, bank holidays; Career development and training; Wellbeing support and activities; In-house physiotherapy Service; On-site canteens with subsidised meals; Subsidised staff parking (currently free); Free Stagecoach Bus Travel to and from work within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

We are committed to ensuring a work-life balance for all our staff by offering full time and part time roles, flexible working hours on a shift pattern to fit around your family life.
