Registered Nurse – Endoscopy

Responsibilities: Ensure practice is in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and work within limits of competence. Successfully complete the Trust's preceptorship programme. Maintain a high standard of nursing care applying evidence-based practice. Carry out assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care without supervision. Carry out the daily personal care of patients. Maintain accurate records of all care given. Update patient administration systems e.g. Dimension to ensure real time data collection and confidentiality. Effectively use information technology for the benefit of patient care in accordance with the Trust's Cyber Code of Conduct. Maintain confidentiality of information (written, verbal, electronic), whilst being aware of the Freedom for Information Act. Promptly and effectively communicate relevant changes in patient status to the multi-disciplinary team. Travelling to work: Staff parking is available onsite; however, this is limited during core working hours. The Endoscopy Unit at NNUH is the largest in the UK and operates Monday to Friday 8am-6.30pm; this role does require some on-call working (2-3 times per month), however you will not be required to work nights or weekends as part of your standard working week.
