You will participate as a member of the nursing and multi-disciplinary team in providing high standards of evidence-based care. You will provide care, support, and advice for patients, relatives, and carers undergoing Endoscopic procedures. You will also work and communicate with the Endoscopy coordinator to organize the Endoscopy list on a daily basis, planning the session in a timely and efficient way.

Main duties of the job
Develop and demonstrate an effective understanding, safe practice, and a high standard of working knowledge of the Endoscopy Nursing role, to include the pre-assessment, planning implementation, and evaluation of care for both ward and day care patients making adjustments where appropriate during:
Admission or pre-visit and Pre-assessment. Procedures Recovery Discharge or return to ward

Previous Experience

Experience working in a MDT team. Experience of providing and receiving complex, sensitive information
Desirable
Previous Endoscopy experience or involvement with Gastroenterology patients. Champion /link nurse responsibility Practice assessor qualification or equivalent.

I.T skills. Flexibility. Commitment to develop in Endoscopy role and lifelong learning. Able to work under pressure and prioritize workload.
