This is a Fixed Term/Secondment vacancy until 01/11/2025. Our Day Surgery Team at Prince Philip Hospital and Amman Valley Hospital are forward thinking, dynamic and innovative, and we are looking for a like-minded nurse/practitioner with experience of working in similar units/wards. We are keen to recruit an enthusiastic band 5 staff nurse who is willing and able to support the Ward area within our Day Surgery Unit, who has initiative and good communication skills. We are looking for an individual who is flexible to a six-day working week, innovative and dynamic in outlook, with a keen sense of team working and eager to learn. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of care within the ward whilst caring for a group of patients from an array of specialities including but not limited to: orthopaedics, general surgery, ophthalmology, vascular and urology. You will be expected to undertake link nurse roles that you have shown an interest in, and auditing activities as delegated by the Senior Nurse. Applicants must be enthusiastic and a hard-working individual who is looking to play an integral part in the Unit’s pro-active team. We are keen to support personal and professional development in a friendly atmosphere; this includes the support of a dedicated full time Clinical Practice Educator.
