28 days including Bank holidays (or pro rata), plus an additional 1.5 day over Christmas/New Year, plus an additional day accrued for each full year worked up to an extra five days (i.e. up to 34.5 days). Dermatology Consulting is a consultant-led private dermatology clinic in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, which, since its establishment over 19 years ago, has gained an excellent reputation and was awarded Outstanding by the CQC at its latest inspection. The clinic offers a full spectrum of medical dermatology for adults and children including skin cancer. It also offers a wide range of laser and medical aesthetic/cosmetic treatments and has one of the most up-to-date and best equipped arrays of dermatology lasers in the UK. We aim to offer the most effective treatments derived from the latest dermatology research. The clinic is based in a beautiful Edwardian house furnished to high standards near the station, and is equipped with the best technology. The clinic has a good client base and our staff stay with us for many years. Currently, there are five consultant dermatologists and three consultant plastic surgeons. Because of our excellent reputation, we have an increasing demand for our services. We provide continuous training and development to all our employees, ensuring that they are always given the ability to perform the highest quality treatments and are knowledgeable in all fields. We train all our staff in the most up-to-date management of dermatology. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated nurse to join our friendly dynamic team. This will be a wonderful opportunity for the right candidate to learn a wide range of new skills in an expert, supervised environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be trained fully in our vast range of treatments and will learn from expert consultants, formal in-house training, and external certified courses. You will learn the most up-to-date and evidence-based treatments in dermatology both medical and aesthetic. You will receive training on the most up-to-date procedures in dermatology and aesthetics and will be exposed to one of the widest ranges of lasers found in any dermatology centre in the UK. We like to have a small "family" atmosphere with fun team-building events and dinners. Previous experience in lasers, dermatology, aesthetics, phototherapy, or paediatric nursing would be welcomed, but training will be given where necessary. The clinic is open until 21:00 some evenings, so there is likely to be at least one late evening shift, but your hours will be set and regular. Occasional Saturdays will be required for which overtime pay rate applies. Some flexibility is required to cover annual leave and sickness. You will have all bank holidays off work. A contributory pension scheme is available. Uniform is supplied. Private medical insurance is provided. The salary is competitive and will increase as you gain knowledge and skills. Discounted treatments and products will be available for yourself and close family (after 6 months). The clinic has a comprehensive infection control policy and PPE is readily available where appropriate. Your Qualities:

The successful candidates will be professional, enthusiastic with high standards of professional work and have excellent customer service. They should thrive on providing the best possible care to their clients. A pleasant telephone manner, excellent verbal and written communication skills, IT competency, good teamwork, and good organisation skills are essential. The successful candidate will have the ability to multitask in a busy, fast-paced environment while providing a calm, pleasant manner. Duties will include: Assist with the smooth running of the clinic, ensuring that the client journey is smooth from start to finish on each visit Assist at Minor Operations Wound dressing Phlebotomy Suture Removal Photodynamic Therapy Laser Treatments Patch Test Application Photography LED Light Therapy Microdermabrasion Advice on Skin Treatments Advice on Skin Care Products Phototherapy Hydrafacial Stocktaking of Medical Supplies Occasional assistance with reception work (booking appointments, telephone advice about services available in the clinic, using software package specifically for private clinics) Management of patient records Assisting in Mohs Surgery Assistance with audits Assistance with ensuring Care Quality Commission protocols are kept up-to-date and adhered to.
