We are looking for registered nurses to join our nurse led ward at YAB. Tyleri ward is a 32 bedded single room environment. Currently, there are 24 nurse led beds and 8 Community resource team beds. The ward works closely with the community and facilitates direct community admissions from Blaenau Gwent locality, a vital initiative in improving care closer to home. We pride ourselves in providing excellent standards of nursing care to our patients requiring a period of rehabilitation and holistic discharge planning.

We welcome dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic staff who demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We work closely with our multi-disciplinary teams, community resource team, and other professionals to support holistic care planning for our patients.

We explore innovative ways of working to enhance our patients' experience in the hospital, providing an environment that is patient and staff focused. Main duties of the job Successful applicants will need to be motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable with a passion for providing high-quality patient care. We care for our patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can consider several working patterns to support the work-life balance of our staff. The role will involve flexible working to meet the needs of the service.

As a registered nurse, you will be expected to have excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise your own workload, delegate tasks, and be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

You will be expected to take on the role of a practice supervisor/assessor, supporting nursing students on placement along with our own junior members of the nursing team.

Newly qualified nurses are welcome to apply and will be supported through the 'Journey of Excellence,' which is a bespoke program that will assist you in the acquisition of knowledge and skills to facilitate your progression. At Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan, we also have competency framework training and clinical supervision.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
