Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Manager to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care to our residents. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of nursing care within our facility, which focuses on senior nursing care and dementia care. The successful candidate will manage daily operations, supervise nursing staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans. Duties Oversee the administration of medication and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Manage the nursing team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans for residents, ensuring they meet their specific needs. Supervise nursing staff in nursing home settings, ensuring adherence to best practices. Conduct regular assessments of residents’ health and well-being, adjusting care plans as necessary. Facilitate training and professional development for nursing staff to enhance their skills in dementia care and other relevant areas. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for residents. Maintain accurate records of patient care activities and ensure documentation meets legal and ethical standards. Requirements Valid registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Proven experience in a managerial role within a nursing home or assisted living environment. Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and senior care practices. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Experience in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual resident needs. Compassionate approach towards elderly patients, particularly those requiring dementia care. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff members. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating leadership qualities.
