The Opportunity Did you know that Medivet Edenbridge has been providing veterinary services to Crayford Greyhound Stadium since 1982? Our vets attend all races and trials, ensuring that the dogs are fit and sound to race, and offering first aid when necessary. This has given us a wealth of experience in dealing with racing injuries. But that’s not all that sets us apart. We’re also committed to being environmentally friendly, with a negative carbon footprint. Our surgery, nearby houses, and grain drier are all heated by burning big straw bales grown on the farm. Plus we’re set in idyllic countryside and who wouldn’t enjoy pulling up to this view? We have a fantastic, well-rounded hard working team that enjoy working together and appreciate a good laugh along the way making time in practice to fun one too! The practice has a fully equipped theatre plus digital x-ray and dental machine, with an internal lab and access to CT at our nearby Faygate 24-Hour Hospital. We are seeking an enthusiastic part time RVN to work 3 days a week and join this fantastic team. Role Accountabilities Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. In this role you will: Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients. Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity. Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities. Deliver patient monitoring and care. Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team. Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care. Dispense and check medication. Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards. Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice. Your Skills and Experience RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse. Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care. Experienced in working effectively as part of a team. Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency. Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
