Registered Veterinary Nurse (accepting newly qualified RVN's) - Epsom Vets4Pets

“The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They look after me as well as my pet, and know her full history. She can’t wait to get into the surgery to see them, which to me speaks volumes about their approach to her”. Our clients love us and we think that you will too!

Here at our small animal training practice in Epsom, we’re looking for a Registered Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming team on a permanent basis. The RVN role has become available as part of our team's exciting progression and expansion. Our head nurse is advancing to practice manager, and our talented deputy head nurse, who we trained and mentored, will step into the head nurse role in September 2024. This opportunity reflects the continuous growth and success of our team.

About us: We are based inside a busy Pets at Home store offering free onsite parking and ideally situated close to the town centre and within a 7-minute walk of Epsom train station. The practice offers a range of state of the art equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound with Doppler, a growing orthopaedic kit and separate dog and cat wards.

You will be joining a fun, hardworking, dedicated team of 3 Vets, 3 RVNs, Practice Manager, 1 SVN, 2 VCA and 2 receptionists all trying to make a difference to our clients by offering exceptional client care with community at our core. Lenesa Govender, the lead vet and Practice Owner of Epsom Vets4Pets, which opened the practice in 2016, brings with her 18 years of experience as a vet, mainly in senior roles. Lenesa has a passion for learning and keeping her knowledge up to date and thoroughly encourages and supports the same in the hugely talented and caring team. Being a Practice Owner has really motivated her passion for client bonding, and she thoroughly enjoys getting to know the clients and almost becoming a part of their family. This is the main ethos of Epsom Vets4Pets, we genuinely treat our pets as if they were our own.

About you: We are seeking an ambitious RVN looking to take the next step in their career. The role is suitable for newly qualified RVNs. The successful candidate should have great communication and organisation skills and take pride in working to a high standard. You will have an interest in and want to learn about the practice as a business as well as how to motivate a team to achieve their personal and practice goals.

You will be confident with all general nursing duties.

We have a full time role (40hrs per week)(1 in 4 weekends) and no OOH, which will give the successful candidate a great work-life balance. We offer a supportive and friendly working environment and in return for your hard work we can also offer you: Competitive salary - negotiable depending on experience (up to 30k) No OOH Company pension Paid memberships (BVNA, RCVS, VDS) 20 days holiday + bank holidays Dedicated CPD allowance Exclusive high street, online and company discounts (including 20% off Pets at Home)

If you share our passion for delivering outstanding healthcare, exceptional customer service and would like to join our team then please do not hesitate to contact us.

We are an Equal Opportunities Employer.
