We are helping a small, independently owned veterinary practice situated in Dunstable, Bedfordshire to recruit a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their branch practice on a full time permanent basis. Full time, shifts either 8.30am-4.30pm / 9.30am-5.30pm Saturdays on a rota basis, 8.30am-5.30pm with TOIL No OOHs The branch is a small surgery which does surgery in the morning and consulting in the afternoon. The successful applicant will be joining a team of 1-2 Vets per day, 1 SVN and 1 PCA/ Receptionist. Your day would include assisting in surgery in the morning and consulting in the afternoon – the consults are a range of nursing consultations including 2nd vaccinations, anal glands, blood sampling, microchipping, diabetic patient consultations and has room to develop areas of interest you may have. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a smaller surgery and being a clinical coach to the SVN – however if you’d like to have some days where you’re in a busier larger surgery the role can include 1 or 2 days a week at the main surgery. Salary range from £30,000 (newly qualified) to £35,000 p/a – Salary bandings based on years of experience & skills with additional Clinical Coaching payment.
