We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated RVN to join our close-knit team at Hay Vets. As one of our dedicated nurses, you will strive to maintain our high standards of patient and client care whilst working alongside the team, utilising your skills for our medical and surgical cases, anaesthesia, radiography, laboratory work, in-patient care and nurse consults.
You will be working with a dedicated, loyal and kind crew, and we're excited about expanding it as the practice grows. We have two branches - one in Hay-on-Wye and the other in Talgarth - and strong ties to our local communities. We're striving to be a centre of clinical and people excellence for our team and our clients.

Ideally, we are looking for someone to work 24-27 hours per week over 3-4 days. Our nursing team share the Saturday morning rota 1 in 4, along with the OOH rota however we are open to discussion about which hours and days work for you.
This role will include: All clinical aspects including running nursing clinics A commitment to a 1-in-4 OOH rota (1 in 4 weekends and 1 in 4 week nights)
We are one team - you're in good company
We are a welcoming, close-knit, dedicated and experienced team of 4 vets, 5 RVNs and 5 Receptionists, supported by our Practice Director. We have two certificate-holders in the clinical team. Our departing nurse colleague achieved her surgical nursing certificate while working in the Practice. We pride ourselves on our collaborative clinical approach with regular clinical meetings and case discussions. We aim to provide a comprehensive, empathetic, and personal service to our clients and patients and have links with local animal rescue charities.

Sitting on the bank above the iconic River Wye on the English/Welsh border, Hay is a great place to live and work. Overlooked by the Black Mountains and a short drive from the Brecon Beacons, our surroundings are a haven for the outdoor enthusiast. Our Hay practice and main branch is a modern, purpose-built premise which boasts a dental suite with digital radiography, doppler ultrasonography, digital radiography, multiparameter monitor, and in-house laboratory equipment. Our Talgarth branch surgery offers vet and nurse consults and we're striving to grow it. Our clinicians enjoy being all-rounders but there is support for specific interests too.
