Main duties/responsibilities:
Diagnosis and Treatment: Examine animals, diagnose illnesses, and provide appropriate treatments or medications. Surgery: Perform routine and emergency surgeries, such as spaying, neutering, or repairing injuries. Preventive Care: Administer vaccinations, provide parasite control, and offer health advice to pet owners. Animal Welfare: Ensure the well-being of animals by promoting responsible pet ownership and addressing health or welfare concerns. Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of treatments, surgeries, and patient progress.
What we're looking for from Veterinary Surgeon applicants:
Degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognised university. Membership in the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). Previous experience as a veterinary surgeon is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary best practices and medical regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with clients and their pets. Ability to handle a variety of animals safely and effectively. Willingness to continually upgrade knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine.
