How you will Energise Our Team

We are seeking a Regulations and Compliance Advisor to join our Regulations and Compliance Team. The successful candidate will work closely with all areas of the business to ensure awareness of industry change, impact assess and to gather feedback to industry where appropriate. They will act in an advisory capacity to the business from an energy regulations perspective and oversee and assist with compliance auditing against regulations and guidance set by Ofgem and Government. The role requires a keen attention to detail, and a high standard of written communication, the ability to interpret regulatory documentation and form comprehensive responses which represent the views of the wider business. The day-to-day responsibilities will involve: Monitoring industry and code change – impact assessing changes with input from the relevant business areas and formulating responses where required which support Valda’s strategic position Supporting compliance auditing internal processes including communications and third-party processes to ensure compliance with the relevant regulations and guidance and working towards positive consumer outcomes Consulting with the business change team and internal project teams on the regulatory impact of change and considerations which potentially effect compliance Maintaining an ongoing compliance reporting and submission schedule across all areas of the business Assisting with the collation of industry requests for information – working with commercial analysts and business areas to form quantitative and qualitative responses The Spark we're Looking For

Degree in Law, English or other subject with a focus on written language or relevant qualification in regulations, governance and risk (desirable) At least 1 years’ experience in a regulatory or legal role (desirable) Excellent communication and listening skills Strong attention to detail with accurate spelling and grammar Ability to organise, prioritise and multitask Ability to produce, manage and compile key business documentation Self-motivated with strong work ethic, can demonstrate flexibility and adapt to a rapidly changing environment If you like the sound of this role, we encourage you to apply even if you aren’t confident that you meet all of the requirements – you may be just who we’re looking for.
