Regulatory Reporting Accountant

Location: UK (with team members also in Ireland and Bermuda) Job Type: Full-time Join a leading insurance and reinsurance business that has consistently outperformed the market since its inception in 2015. As a Regulatory Reporting Accountant, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for enhancing data quality and regulatory reporting accuracy. This role is crucial in supporting the finance and business initiatives across our UK, Ireland, and Bermuda locations. Day-to-day of the role:

Drive improvements in data quality to support accurate regulatory reporting. Collaborate with various stakeholders to prepare Solvency II deliverables for the PRA. Enhance the quality and timeliness of Solvency II QRT deliverables. Identify areas for improvement, perform data quality checks, and reconcile data. Automate and optimise finance processes using technology. Assist in preparing external UK GAAP financial statements and Solvency II returns (annual and quarterly) for UK entities. Contribute to the preparation of SFCR and other regulatory reports, managing timetables and external audit processes. Advise the team and management on the impact of regulatory changes on reporting. Coordinate with internal and external auditors. Develop and maintain controls and procedures for regulatory reporting, improving documentation of internal controls and procedures. Participate in additional projects as required. Required Skills & Qualifications:

A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is desired. 1-3 years’ post-qualification experience, preferably in an insurance/reinsurance environment, with a solid accounting foundation and working knowledge of the ledger. Advanced financial, analytical, and organisational skills. Strong knowledge of the Microsoft suite of applications with superb Excel skills. Detailed knowledge and experience of US GAAP and UK GAAP for insurance accounting. Experience with Solvency II is beneficial but not compulsory. A driven individual who is adept at managing multiple priorities. Benefits:
