We are looking for a Regulatory Lead (Commerce Commission) that will collaboratively develop and deliver Orion's regulatory strategy and drive excellent economic regulatory outcomes for us and our customers. You will be our advocate in economic regulation and provide regulatory expertise and advice across the business on current and potential regulatory direction and risks. Building a strong and trusted relationship while engaging with the Commerce Commission and Orion internal stakeholders will be a key factor in this role. The role Provide economic regulatory expertise and advice to Orion assessing the impact on the business and our decision making Participate and represent Orion in sector collaboration and engagement on regulatory matters with a knowledgeable and informed voice Understand economic regulatory landscapes and factors to ensure an understanding of regulatory risk and how we respond Write and produce written submissions to the Commerce Commission following a thorough internal process through collaboration across the business with subject matter experts Remain up-to-date on all information disclosure requirements communicating these to the business and at times leading the implementation of regulatory change About you Depth of experience in a similar role, preferably in the electricity or telecommunications sector and a relevant tertiary degree in economics or law An excellent and effective collaborator Previous experience in change management or project management is highly desirable. Strong understanding of the New Zealand regulatory environment - how it applies to the electricity industry will be an advantage Build strong relationships with the ability to work collegially and hold a place at the table with other industry leaders and stakeholders Ability to translate and relay complex information to others using appropriate language to various audiences Strong sense of responsibility and accountability with the ability to engender responsibility in others Seek continual improvement with an innovative approach and big picture focus We offer You'll find at Orion, you can come as you are and just be you.
