Rehabilitation Assistants working within the Community Brain Injury Service have a rewarding and varied role and play a fundamental part in improving the lives of people after experiencing brain injury. They act as a source of information, advice and support for service users and their families, provide one-to-one and group interventions and liaise with other health and social care professionals. There are also opportunities to be involved in audit and service development projects. Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our team. You must be passionate about working with people affected by brain injury and have experience of working in a health care setting. You will work with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy within the service and experience of working with these disciplines would be an advantage. Some experience of working with people with brain injury or neurological disabilities is desirable but not essential. Excellent communication skills are essential for the role. You will be based at Isebrook Hospital, Wellingborough, but will be required to travel throughout Northamptonshire, with appointments regularly being held in service users’ homes, workplaces, or other community locations. The ability to travel during the working day is therefore a requirement for this post and the successful candidate will need to have access to a vehicle that they can use for this purpose. You will be supported and clinically supervised by experienced Therapists within the service and will be supported to develop your clinical skills through our bespoke competency program.
