Under the direction of the Manager, and under the supervision of therapists, the Rehabilitation Assistant, as an active member of the patient care team, works with individuals, families and groups to help educate and promote movement, occupation, and function. The Rehabilitation Assistant is responsible for the safe delivery of interventions assigned by the therapists for patients coping with limitations in movement and daily function. The Rehabilitation Assistant also checks and cleans equipment, maintains treatment and storage areas, and may order necessary supplies. The successful applicant may be required to provide services anywhere within the Rehabilitation Services portfolio. About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Grade 12 or GED Rehabilitation Assistant Program (including Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy components) Basic Cardiac Life Support Ability to communicate well with patients, families, and staff Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively Organizational ability to complete assigned work and manage changing staffing and caseload levels Knowledge of proper body mechanics Basic computer skills Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Access to reliable transportation Hours

Permanent, Full-Time Position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly Compensation and Benefits

$24.11 - $27.40 Hourly
