The role is a very rewarding and allows the worker to build positive relationships with some of the most complex children within residential care and help support the children and young people to stay safe and reach their full potential. You will be prepared to work within a rota primarily consisting of both mornings 7am-3pm and afters 2pm -10pm including weekends and bank holidays.  Also be prepared to work 10pm-7am on waking nights duties depending on the specific needs of the care home. The applicant with experience may be asked to undertake sleep in duties as required to meet the needs of home. The worker must be highly motivated and willing to have some flexibility to covering shifts across the Children’s’ care homes. Be willing to advocate for children and demonstrate a “good parent role”. If successful in your application as part of the induction each worker will undertake particular eLearning modules which will provide develop workers’ knowledge and skills to enable them to work alongside and support the children and young people.Further details about the responsibilities and requirements of the role are contained in the job profile and role summary. In return for your hard work and dedication, we can offer you the chance to be part of a great team dedicated to ensuring that all people in Doncaster thrive.
