Service Manager Role Overview As a Remedial Plumber, you will be responsible for carrying out plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance in both residential and commercial properties. You will play a vital role in ensuring that systems are safe, compliant, and operational. The role involves working independently or as part of a team, with regular travel around the London area. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including hot and cold-water systems. Perform remedial works, such as pipework replacements, valve repairs, leak detection, and system upgrades. Inspect, test, and ensure compliance with water regulations (e.g., WRAS). Collaborate with other trades where necessary to resolve issues effectively. Provide excellent customer service, maintaining Surevent’s reputation for professionalism and quality. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations. Complete and submit job reports and other documentation promptly using Surevent’s digital systems. Participate in the on-call rota (if applicable) and respond to emergency call-outs as required. Qualifications and Experience Essential: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent). Previous experience in a remedial plumbing role. Knowledge of water regulations and compliance standards (WRAS certification preferred). Experience working in residential and commercial environments. Full UK driving licence. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Desirable: Additional qualifications, such as unvented systems, energy efficiency, or Legionella awareness. Familiarity with digital reporting tools and systems.
