This role is ideal for an individual with 1-2 years’ experience at a record label, music promotions company, marketing agency, or similar, although we are open to any candidate with the required skillset for the role. The business celebrates its 25th birthday in 2024. With an unrivaled reputation across the music industry, Renegade is the go-to company for all the major labels and key indies for promotion of new releases. The company works with both brand new and established artists across a wide variety of genres. We are generally involved in the promotion of circa 50% of the UK Top 40 singles at any one time, with a roster boasting some of the world’s most exciting talent. Other business interests within the company include artist management, brand music policy consultancy, and music branding partnerships. Identifying and pitching for relevant new releases, and bringing new business into the company from existing and new contacts across the music industry Managing promotional campaigns from start to finish for a range of pop/dance, indie/rock, and rap artists Advising clients on promotional strategy and identifying targets across our areas Regularly reporting to our clients on the progress of their campaigns Work with record labels and artists’ wider teams to ideate and organize promotional activations Pro-actively arranging interviews, reviews, and other activities with student media Manage strong relationships with all clients including record labels, managers, and independent artists Liaising with record companies to collect assets for promotional campaigns Servicing new music to our extensive database of contacts via our online music distribution platform, InFlyte Promoting releases to retail/brand music programmers, DJs, student media contacts, and other tastemakers Attending gigs, events, and industry conferences in the UK and internationally. You will
Live, breathe, and work music, and have strong knowledge across multiple genres, particularly pop/dance, indie/rock, and rap. Have already built a strong network of contacts across the music industry Be highly organized with excellent attention to detail in all areas of your work Be confident and knowledgeable in meetings with clients and contacts Have a positive ‘can do, will do’ attitude and a burning ambition to advance your own career, as well as help us take our business to the next level Have a genuine interest in the areas we cover, with the ability to learn quickly and work to monthly targets Be friendly and adaptable with great communication skills and the ability to fit into our small, sociable team Have a good knowledge of software packages (we use Microsoft Office and Google Drive) and wide social media insight Experience in Adobe, Squarespace, and other relevant software also an advantage What we offer
