Reparation and Restorative Justice Worker. This contract position requires providing services to young people involved in the criminal justice system and their families, with the purpose of preventing offending and promoting Restorative Justice approaches. Role Responsibilities: Help deliver positive and meaningful RJ sessions with young people who commit crimes to reduce the likelihood of re-offending and de-escalate the risk of harm. Assist victims of crime in expressing their views and feelings. Work closely with members of other disciplines and organisations, including volunteers, residential staff, foster carers, youth workers, health, police, probation staff, housing, and voluntary and independent organisations. Assist victims of crime in engaging with restorative processes, helping develop an understanding of why RJ is important and how it can help both the victim and the perpetrator. Essential Requirements: Experience working with children and young people who offend. Knowledge of the Youth Justice System, including court processes.
