Purpose of the Role:

To work with the YJS Referral Order and Volunteering Practice Lead (ROVPL), supporting the work and leading on areas as part of a dedicated Referral Order, Volunteer and Reparation Section. To ensure that Enfield YJS has Reparation placements sourced, risk assessed, and utilized, and that young people are booked onto reparation at these venues. Their attendance/non-attendance is recorded and communicated to the case manager. To undertake all preparatory work regarding all YJS clients attending Reparation sessions, ensuring relevant partner agencies and staff are informed of all necessary information regarding young people. This includes the production of all relevant paperwork pertaining to the young person's activity, such as risk assessments and feedback forms, ensuring that all Reparation activity available and booked is of the highest standards. To work with the YJS ROVPL to ensure that Enfield YJS has Referral Order Panel volunteers and venues booked, or MS Teams sessions arranged, to ensure that Referral Order Panels go ahead. Clients, victims, workers, and any other relevant parties are invited, ensuring that all work done in preparation for Referral Order Panels is of the highest standards. To support all aspects of YJS work regarding Reparation placements and delivery, panels, volunteers, and students, e.g., training, logistical and administrative activities, advice, and data inputting to support the ROVPL, YJS Management, and Staff Team in all related matters as part of the aims and objectives of Enfield YJS. Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:

Qualifications:

Educated to a very good standard in English and Maths with further qualifications demonstrating a commitment to continued personal and professional development. Must have a very good level of written and verbal communication and presentation skills with demonstrable knowledge and experience of IT use and administrative systems. Knowledge:

Some knowledge and understanding of the Youth Justice System, child protection and welfare, and criminal justice law as it pertains to young people. Good knowledge of the issues affecting children and young people, particularly young offenders. Must have demonstrable knowledge of Criminal Justice and Welfare Legislation, Case Management, Recording, and Quality Assurance. A very good knowledge of Anti-Discriminatory and Anti-Oppressive practice is essential, along with the ability to integrate these into all areas of practice. Experience:

Experience of working both in and with Children's and Youth Services, preferably with young offenders. Experience of working in a busy and challenging environment, meeting deadlines in a high-performing team with high standards of quality. Experience of producing, monitoring, and updating complex database systems and the production of statistics therein. Must be able to work to policies and procedures while working under own initiative.
